As a guest of The Sea Shanty, you will become a supporter of the Kupu Kupu Foundation, a small independent school in Ubud providing education and support to disabled children in Bali. Their ongoing challenge is lack of sufficient funds to run the daily operations of the school such as fuel for the school bus, schoolbooks and food for the children. Every night spent at The Sea Shanty will contribute to the daily operations of Kupu Kupu.
In addition, donations of clothes or educational items such as books and pencils are welcome. Visits to the foundation can also be arranged for anyone eager to meet the children or offer their support first hand. You can even stay in their bugalows for the night!
If you visit Ubud, please visit our friends at the Kupu Kupu Foundtion Art Gallery, where they sell art work handmade by the disabled children from the local area.
